SEO Pricing in Cyprus: What It Actually Costs

There's no shortage of SEO quotes in Cyprus, ranging from €99/month all-inclusive packages to €5,000/month enterprise retainers. Here's what each band actually delivers, and where the cliff-edges are.

Pricing for SEO in Cyprus is all over the place. We've reviewed proposals where the same scope was quoted at €350 and €2,800. The difference isn't always quality — sometimes it's just confidence on the agency's side. Here's a grounded view of what each price band gets you.

The €99–€300/month "all-inclusive" trap

If you've been quoted €99 or €199/month for "complete SEO", walk away. At that price, you're getting an automated audit tool, a few directory submissions, and a monthly PDF generated by software. Nobody is doing keyword research, writing content, or building real links for that money — the labour cost alone makes it impossible.

The fastest way to test: ask who is doing the work and to see one piece of content they've published in the last 30 days. If you get vague answers or stock examples, you're paying for nothing.

€500–€800/month — entry-level, single-location local

This is the realistic floor for serious work. At this band you should expect:

  • One Google Business Profile fully managed (posts, reviews, photos, Q&A)
  • 1–2 short pages or blog posts written per month, in one language
  • Technical fixes as they come up
  • A monthly report someone actually wrote, not auto-generated

This works for a single-location restaurant, dental practice, or small service business. It does not work for multi-location, ecommerce, or anything bilingual.

€900–€1,750/month — the sweet spot for most Cypriot SMEs

Most of our clients sit in this band. The extra budget pays for:

  • 2–4 longer pieces of content per month, often bilingual
  • Active link acquisition (3–5 placements per quarter, not directories)
  • Schema implementation, internal linking work, and page speed improvements
  • A monthly call to walk through the report

If you're a law firm, accounting practice, hotel, or established ecommerce store in Cyprus, this is where the math starts working. Below €900 you're rationing too much; above €1,750 you should be expecting more than what's in this list.

€2,500+/month — multi-location, multilingual, or competitive verticals

Above €2,500 you're either covering multiple locations, multiple languages, or a competitive vertical (FX, real estate development, regulated finance). At this level the work shifts: dedicated content strategist, weekly publishing cadence, digital PR, and proper conversion tracking tied to revenue rather than rankings.

We don't recommend this band unless you can clearly tie organic traffic to revenue. If you're guessing whether SEO works, spending €3,000/month is a fast way to learn it doesn't — not because SEO is broken, but because you're not measuring it.

Audits and one-off projects

A real SEO audit in Cyprus costs €800–€2,500. Anything cheaper is the same automated tool output you can get yourself for free. The audit price difference reflects depth: a €800 audit is a 10-page document with priority fixes; a €2,500 audit is a 50-page deliverable including content gap analysis, competitor teardowns, and a 12-month roadmap.

Hourly consulting runs €70–€150. Useful for in-house teams who need a sanity check, not for execution.

How to think about the budget

A simple rule: if SEO needs to deliver more than €5,000/month in attributable revenue to be worth it, you should be spending more than €500/month on it. The cheap option is rarely the cheap option.

Look at what one new customer is worth to you over 12 months, decide how many extra customers a year would justify the spend, and work backwards. Most of our retainers pay for themselves inside 6–9 months — if yours doesn't, the agency owes you a hard conversation about why.
